The act of letting go…

What is the meaning of letting go?
“Letting go” can look and feel different for each and every one of us.  Letting go can be defined as releasing painful memories and painful thoughts, harmful desires and unhealthy habits that you may be hanging on to. It also means to stop reliving in your mind what had happened in the past or worrying about what’s going to happen in the future. One of the first steps is realizing that you cannot change or undo the past. Letting go can also mean your removing of attachments to events, material things or persons that make you feel unhappy, unsettled, confused, or even lost in your life journey.
When you let go, you allow yourself to expand energetically, allow freedom and happiness to grow in your Heart, Mind and Soul.
There are many benefits of letting go,  one of which includes your Spiritual Growth.
The journey of Spiritual Growth can be as individual as you are.  It can be the process of becoming more and more aware of your real identity as a spiritual being. During this time of growth, you may feel a mixture of many different things: an awakening of sorts, enhanced excitement, perhaps fear and uncertainty and last but not least, enlightenment.
